Talladega Superspeedway

To get a feel for just how unpredictable Talladega Superspeedway is, take at look at this week's NASCAR betting odds for the Aaron's 499. No driver is priced lower than +1,000 and points leader Jimmie Johnson a threat to win every race isn't in his normal spot of race favorite for this Sunday's event.

The oddsmakers are making sure Sprint Cup fans get their money's worth and avoid the “Big One” at NASCAR's most notorious tri-oval track. Here are a few of the key drivers to watch this weekend:

Kyle Busch (+1000) might just be crazy enough to drive without fear of one of Talladega's multi-car wrecks. NASCAR's wild child is coming off a great weekend of racing at Texas, winning the Nationwide race and finishing third in the Samsung Mobile 500 Monday. The younger Busch brother has struggled at Alabama recently, finishing outside the Top 10 in his last three races since winning the Aaron's 499 back in 2008.

Kevin Harvick (+1000) ran a great race at Texas on Monday, moving from 19th to seventh by the time the checkered flag flew. The No. 29 Chevy is currently fourth in the points standings, and has finished inside the Top 10 in five of its eight races this season. At Talladega, Harvick owns an average finish of 16.3 and has placed inside the Top 10 in seven of his 18 events there. However, he has never finished first at the 2.66-mile track, having to settle for second twice in his career.

Tony Stewart (+1000) was putting together a great race at the Samsung Mobile 500 before getting caught in a multi-car accident that pushed him back to a 32nd-place finish after beginning the race on the pole. The driver/owner is looking to rebound this weekend in Alabama, where he's won one race, finished inside the Top 10 12 times and boasts an average finish of 14.7. Stewart's luck at Talladega was rough in his most recent run there, dropping from his starting spot of fourth to 35th due to one of those dreaded 'Dega accidents.

Others to watch: Dale Earnhardt Jr. (+1200), Jimmie Johnson (+1200), Jeff Gordon (+1200) and Clint Bowyer (+1200).
